Bagels by day, tacos by night. That's how it works right?

surrounded by authentic Mexican cuisine for years, Stephen El-Hassan wanted to add his own east coast modern flare to recipes passed down from his coworkers' abuelas. 

As chef and owner of Loquito, Stephen has gotten in his feet wet in all things relating to the food and restaurant business. He's done it all from delivering pizzas to becoming a line cook in fine dining restaurants. Recognizing his love for food, he went to culinary school at ICC and shortly began working at the legendary Eataly in New York City. Majority of the cooks he has worked with have been from Mexico. Stephen has always loved Mexican cuisine and the culture. With that, Loquito was born to bring you a new modern flare on your classic dishes.
